Walker, Minnesota man arrested for assault
CASS COUNTY, Minn. (Valley News Live) - A man was arrested on June 2, for allegedly assaulting a woman and holding a gun in a man’s face at a home in Cass County, Minnesota.
Court records say that 35-year-old Arturo Rivera of Walker, Minnesota had assaulted the woman, leaving her with a bruise and swelling under her left eye, and a scratch on her breast according to court documents. They go on to say that after the assault, she called her family. After hearing of the assault, another man came to the house to check on her. At that point, court documents say that Rivera went to his car and pulled out a gun. He reportedly racked the gun and pointed it at the man’s face. Rivera then got into his car and left the scene.
Rivera’s vehicle was later located at Cedar Lakes Casino in Cass Lake. He was located inside the Casino and arrested. Officers found ta gun in the front passenger seat pocket after executing a search warrant. They say the gun was loaded.
Rivera is charged with 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and misdemeanor domestic assault.
