MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Gatorade named Minot High’s Kellan Burke as their top baseball player in North Dakota for the year.

The organization announced Burke as the 2024-25 Gatorade North Dakota Baseball Player of the Year in a release this week.

Kellan is a senior catcher and outfielder who led the Magicians to a 21-7 record this season and a deep run in the Class A State Tournament, ending as runner-up.

This season he batted .557 with three home runs, 27 RBI and 33 runs scored, along with 10 stolen bases.

He’s a two-time All-State selection who’s ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the Dakotas in the Class of 2025 Prep Baseball.

A multi-sport athlete, Kelln was named MVP of the 2023 Class A state championship football game, leading the Magicians to a Dakota Bowl championship with a field goal as time expired.

Kellan also gets it done in the classroom, maintaining a 3.78 weighted GPA. He’s also volunteered and served as a local youth baseball coach.

He’s committed to Cloud County Community College this fall, where he will play baseball.
