Flash flood warning issued for Southern Utah state park

SALT LAKE CITY — On Thursday night, The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Snow Canyon State Park and Washington County.
Heavy rain in Snow Canyon and Johnson Canyon areas prompted the warning, and it will be in effect until approximately 9:15 p.m.

According to The National Weather Service, via X, Most prone areas will be slot canyons, dry washes and burn scars. Flooding is also expected in creeks, streams and backcountry roads.
